Customer Reviews
Always reliable for seeds
I've bought from Burpee several times over the years. This time I got some pepper seeds and a few strawberry plants. Everything arrived in good shape, just like my previous orders. Their packaging for live plants is pretty good, keeps them safe during shipping. It's nice to know what to expect when you order, and they're consistent. That's why I keep coming back for my gardening supplies.
Good value, minor shipping snag
I picked up some tomato seeds and a couple of those grow lights during their spring sale. The prices were quite competitive, especially for the lights, and the seeds have a good germination rate so far. I thought the shipping was a bit slow; it took 8 days to reach me in Arizona, and one of the seed packets was a little crumpled in the box, though the seeds themselves were fine. Customer service was quick to respond when I inquired about the shipping delay, which was reassuring. Overall, I feel like I got good value for what I paid, but faster shipping would have made it perfect.
Good first experience
First time ordering from Burpee. Got some cucumber seeds and a small bag of potting soil. Found a pretty good deal on the soil. Everything arrived quick enough. Good value for what I paid.
Decent seeds, good instructions
I ordered a few packets of their organic kale seeds and some zinnia seeds last month. The ordering process online was straightforward, and I got a confirmation email right away. Delivery took about a week to get to me in Florida, which was fine. All the seeds germinated well, especially the zinnias; they're already getting quite tall. The packets had clear instructions on planting depth and spacing, which is always a plus. I haven't had to contact support, so can't speak to that. Overall, a solid experience for garden basics.
Got my herbs
Just got my basil seeds and some lavender plants. The plants looked healthy when they got here. No problems at all, everything worked out. I'm excited to get them in the ground.

Does burpee ship to like, all of the US? I'm in Hawaii and some places won't send live plants here.
planning a big order of seeds and maybe some tools, can i stack a free shipping code with another discount, like a percentage off?
hey, anyone know if the new customer discount is still a thing? looking to grab some heirloom tomatoes for the first time.
Are Burpee's organic seeds actually good? Looking at their organic kale, but not sure how reliable they are compared to others.
Thinking of getting a bunch of blueberry bushes for a new patch. How long does it usually take for live plants to arrive after ordering?
